HK Permanent ID Card

From the home screen, tap on the “Apply” icon, followed by “Bank Accounts”.

Select “HK Permanent ID Card”.

Verify your mobile number and email address.

Verify your identity by:
• Capturing your HKID
• Taking a selfie

Fill in your personal details.

If you are applying for an All-in-one Investment Account:
• Complete the “Investment Customer Information” section
• Upload residential address proof

Submit application.

You will receive the approval SMS or email in as fast as 2 working days. Repeat Step 1 then select “Resume Application” to set up your eBanking user ID and PIN.

Note: Once your account is successfully opened, make an initial deposit to remove account restrictions. For details please refer to FAQ No. 13 & 14.

To apply, you must be:

Aged 18 or above
Hold a Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card (supports 2018 versions)
Not holding any deposit accounts with the Bank on or before the date of account opening application
A non-US resident, non-US citizen and non-US Person for US tax purposes

To apply, you must be:

Aged 18 or above
Hold a Non-permanent HKID Card, China Resident ID Card with valid Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from HK and Macau, China Passport, Macau Resident ID Card or foreign passport
Not holding any deposit account with the Bank on or before the date of account opening application
